Getting to know Ms. Barlet

 

What colleges did you attend?

Cal State Fullerton for my BA in Liberal Studies and Teaching Credential, and Azusa Pacific University for my Master’s in Education and School Administration and my Administrative Credential.

What is your experience as a teacher?

I’ve taught in the Tustin Unified School District for 23 years. 16 years were at Benson where I have taught 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 and 2 years were at Tustin High where I was the Activities Director. This is my 6th year at Guin Foss.

What is your favorite subject in school?

Math

Who is your favorite scholar?

Charles Dickens

What are some of your hobbies?

Baking, cooking, reading, collecting the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz, spending time with my best friends

What are a few interesting facts about you that most people don’t know?

I own a baking business with my niece and sister in law called "Three B's Scratch Desserts." I love making cupcakes!

Getting to know Mrs. Gugino

What colleges did you attend?

B.A. Liberal Studies, Cal State University Fullerton; M.A. Education, Azusa Pacific University

What is your experience as a teacher?

I previously taught 4 years as a Kindergarten teacher and 2 years as First Grade teacher in Duarte Unified School District. For the past 3 years I have served as a substitute in the Tustin Unified School District. I also served as a part time RTI and MTSS teacher in Tustin Unified.

What is your favorite subject in school?

English Language Arts

Who is your favorite scholar?

Steve Jobs

What are some of your hobbies?

I like to read, watch college football, shop, cook, and spend time with my family.

What is an interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?

In addition to being a teacher I am also a licensed contractor.

Getting to know Mrs. Lindburg

What colleges did you attend?

I received my BA in Psychology at UC Santa Barbara. I then got my Teaching Credential and Masters in Teaching Elementary and Secondary Education at UC Irvine.

What is your experience as a teacher?

I've taught 13 years in Tustin Unified and 1 year in East Africa.

What is your favorite subject in school?

Math was always my favorite when I was a student. In more recent years, I’ve really grown to love teaching reading.

What are some of your hobbies?

Yoga, traveling, and playing with my kids.

What is an interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?

I've had the opportunity of living on 3 different continents: North America, Europe, and Africa. I lived in Spain and Uganda teaching English and Reading.
